Car Rally

In remembrance of June 1984, when the Indian State attacked Sri Harmandir Sahib, the holiest site of the Sikh faith, the Sikh community of Sydney comes together in a car rally to honour the innocent pilgrims, martyrs, and all those whose lives were forever changed during the assault known as Operation Blue Star.

June 1984 remains one of the darkest chapters in Sikh history, as military action inside the sacred complex of Darbar Sahib in Amritsar caused immense loss of life, destruction, and deep trauma felt by Sikhs across the world. The attack also resulted in severe damage to the Akal Takht and the destruction of invaluable Sikh literature and historical manuscripts housed in the Sikh Reference Library. This rally is not only a remembrance of the past, but also a call to preserve truth, justice, and collective memory for future generations. Through unity, reflection, and peaceful commemoration, the Sangat stands together to ensure the sacrifices and suffering of June 1984 are never forgotten.

Never Forget 1984.
Never Forget the Shaheeds.
Deg Teg Fateh.
